Destination Breadcrumb API (V2)
Responsibility
The Destination Breadcrumb API provides the breadcrumb of a destination: the ordered path that places a destination within the geographic hierarchy, from the broadest level down to the most precise one (for example Europe › France › Ile-de-France › Yvelines › Versailles).
For each level of the path, it supplies the label to display and the link to the matching destination page, so that front-end applications can show contextual navigation without building or maintaining the hierarchy themselves.
What it covers
- Returning the breadcrumb of a destination identified by its geo code.
- Adapting the labels and links to the requested site and language.
- Ending the path on the right level depending on the page: a city for a destination page, a point of interest for a point-of-interest page.
What it does not cover
- It does not create or modify destinations or their hierarchy: it is read-only.
- It does not provide hotel, availability or pricing information.
- It does not render the breadcrumb: display is left to the consuming application.
Data source
Since V2, the breadcrumb comes from the Accor middleware instead of Content Fragments. Request parameters remain compatible with V1.
